The blankets have sold out!
Bandelier
commissioned a 250 limited edition of 90th Anniversary
Commemorative Blanket from Pendleton Mills. The blankets are
60 by 84 inches, with white and black petroglyph design
and border of green, blue, and red. There are no longer any
blankets available.

During the Great Depression of the 1930s, the National Park Service hired Pablita Velarde, a young
artist from Santa Clara Pueblo, to work at Bandelier National Monument creating paintings of pueblo
life. Pablita produced a fine body of work in her few years at the park and went on to become one of
New Mexico's premier painters. In collaboration with Pablita and the National Park Service at
Bandelier, The Friends of Bandelier have reproduced one of her loveliest and liveliest early paintings.

Adopt a bit of Bandelier
Our adoption program includes 3.5 by 5-inch photograph and a certificate
telling about the adoptee and its importance to Bandelier. In addition,
we can arrange for you to meet your adoptee at no extra charge, though
this offer is limited by time of year, the elusiveness of the adoptee,
and the stamina of the adopter. Adoptions are $20 each. Bits of
